As a designer that works between macOS and Linux, this is great news. I'd install Mint on the solidly-built hardware of older intel macs (like the 2019 MBP) to run Affinity and breathe new life into them.

3D users might also want to grab a copy of Vue if they didn't already...
VUE, the 3D landscape generation software, was previously used to generate landscapes in hollywood movies. Has high computing requirements.

Final release of the 3D modeling, animation and rendering software is available under an extended EOL license, but grab it soon.

When Modo was discontinued last year, it was made free to download with a 10-year license BUT they also said they would keep Modo & the license file available for download for 1 year. That date is coming fast.
