Brought up Warframe as it's another game where every time I login there's 5 new frames/3 new subssytems and so on to catch up on/figure out.
With other people, a collaborative effort to pick stuff out, remember how to play, and laugh at our horrible situations. By yourself, prolly more daunting.

Yeah as someone else points out, co-op friend group helps with this.
Like every ~6 or so months someone in my group gets the "Warframe Bug" and we all hop on for 3~4 weeks of laser focus on whatever's cool, then we eventually move on. Repeat for HD2, SpaceMarine, DRG, MHW, etc. Seasonal co-op mood.
