This was from one of his glowing trips to Moscow where he was amazed at having to put a coin in a shopping cart to unlock it and the moving sidewalk escalator thing that hold shopping carts in place. He was going about the bread in this pic.

Form pics I saw, there was bamboo scaffolding up on the buildings. It is very common to use bamboo for that in Hong Kong.
