-The banter was top tier, sharp, and actually funny without feeling try hard. And Emerson. Fully my ideal boyfriend. Smart, grounded, emotionally aware, and somehow still very hot about it. I am obsessed. No notes. -This story pulls you in from the start - the very first page. The characters are so real and fun and definitely a bit messy. It's an absolute masterpiece story of enemies to lovers. It doesn't skimp on making sure you feel the wild ride these characters are going on. I genuinely laughed out loud, fanned myself and felt the longing and love throughout the book. I couldn't put the book down even when I was supposed to be sleeping. Make sure if you read it you have the willpower to take breaks or clear your schedule. This is a great story and a must read! -Clear your schedule because you're going to resent any responsibilities that get in the way of reading this book! I loved every minute, and I was torn between needing to know what happens in the end and wanting to really absorb the beauty and humour of the writing. -The author is also a master at writing believable spicy scenes that don't shy away from the good stuff - hot, with not a sniff of cringe A quality modern romance offering from this new indie author - can’t wait for the next one! -The burn is fast but the feels are slow in A FINE LINE as rival campaign managers heal old hurts and bang their way to love. -This is a wonderful debut romance! -I knew I loved Calliope and Emerson from the moment I met them, in the middle of their messy rivals with benefits situation. The author does an amazing job building these characters, their motivations and backstories and the reasons they are drawn to each other (sometimes against their rational judgment).

Today, I understand that I spent years and years masking in social situations: repeating phrases that I'd memorized or found hit the mark in group conversation that I could rely on instead of relying on myself to wing it, practicing difficult or even new conversations beforehand in the car. I was told I was a good listener, but really, just asked questions about the world and the people around me to offset any attention on me, obvious fraud in the room who could memorize an entire operatic score in something that wasn't their native language, but didn't feel as if I could string two sentences together without thinking it through first.
