My general intuition is that all interaction models are shaky, and mostly depend on marginal distributions (as demonstrated by @gaiaghirardi.bsky.social @fabriberna.bsky.social)

Intriguing! And I say that as someone who has published a paper internationally comparing C components

Waiting for a paper to show that the morass of GxE studies with PGS is as riddled with false positives as candidate gene studies before them. Anyone?

Had a burnout episode a few years back. Just found the tv schedule from my recovery, which, in retrospect, may be more ambitious than what caused me to burnout in the first place

We just spent 6 months to add 1 figure to this paper. Some people said, "Couples aren't prioritizing men's careers. Men just have better earnings opportunities when moving."

Earnings effects of moves for couples on the left, singles on the right. Negligible gap between single men and women.
Event study coefficients that show that men's earnings rise more than women's among couples following a cross-commuting zone move (left panels). The pattern is muted or reverses among single men and single women (right panels).

My reaction to reading papers outside my own area. Three categories:

1. Brilliant
2. Obvious
3. Impenetrable
