I haven’t thought to count how many places I’ve lived…what a stressful experience 🤣 25 for me. Having divorced parents young, who both moved frequently, was actually as stressful as child me felt it was. Who knew!

100% Shawshank is also how I found out about this movie! But it took probably ten more years before I’d get my hands on a copy.

I don’t think so, I liked her vibe and confidence. At the time I was more in love with Nicole Kidman and Catherine Zeta Jones…Moulin Rouge and Mask of Zorro specifically.

No worries, I wasn’t officially in film studies cuz I didn’t have time. But I was friends with all the FS majors because they knew I was one of them. Just autistic it turns out 😹 And I will take any excuse to think about these women. I rewatched Gilda last night bc Rita!

She was a special interest for me in highschool and early 20s…my old Hollywood obsession was intense to say the least 😹 I looked at photos of that woman for DAYS and regret absolutely nothing!

And I’m not sold on Kate’s sapphic tendencies…I’ve read a couple bios and watched many docs over the years and I think Spencer was her person. She also genuinely gave zero fs about performing femininity. Love it! She just doesn’t have any of the same indicators as the known queers from the time.

Of course I did! I love when a movie reflects real life. They are my favorites! Like To Have and Have Not when Bogey and Bacall met and started falling in love 😻 Bonus points on that one for Hoagy Charmichael screen time!! His version of Stardust absolutely sends me (not in movie just gen)
