players see a long-ass movelist and they get scared. but almost every game I've played you can take a finger-countable number of moves and ignore the rest and handle most situations decently well. those other moves might exist for a reason but you don't gotta worry until that reason comes up

I've always believed a big issue is: things that are actually difficult for new players and things that are intimidating for new players have surprisingly little overlap. easy to see players get scared by something and think "it needs to be easier". no. instead trick them so they don't get scared

it's a midrange brand - more expensive than the cheap stuff, but it's still fundamentally selling normal, fast fashion clothes. that being said it does tend to pretend it's more luxury than it actually is

One of my friends IRL once had to deal with a guy insisting on ordering a Whopper at McDonald's. Threw £100 on the counter and said "if you bring me a Whopper I'll let you personally have this". They ended up running to a Burger King across town and back again to bring that Whopper. Got the £100 tho
