When Rond fills that barren void with love and encouragement, play and research, Ratio thrives at an exceptional rate. Veritas Ratio blossoms into Dr. Ratio, the sharp-tongued genius who is — above all else — loved, admired, and appreciated.

Eventually, Aventurine leans his head against Ratio's chest. Their footwork continues, their bodies swaying gently against the warm light of that crackling fire. Ratio is still imagining drums, but they have a rhythm now — each and every beat of Aventurine's heart. Ratio's gaze meets the top of Aventurine's head, his chest tightening with something he can’t quite name. This should feel lonely, shouldn't it?
