I'd say abstaining a day, maybe a week at most, is okay. Sometimes you need to ground yourself a bit and moderate your habits.
But a whole month cold-turkey? That's going to backfire and make you feel worse. And even if you succeed, it won't actually improve your life that much. Libido isn't heroin

I also remember the protag's r/atheism speech about how his Christian aunt "lied to him". That speech had a strong impact on me at the time. I'm not proud of that fact, nor of my own edgy atheist phase in general.

Tried to read RPO back in middle school because VIDYA BOOK. Lost interest like 1/4 in, never knew why at the time. Now I know it's b/c I was the wrong type of nerd and had no frame of reference for 80's pop culture, which is the basis for most of its world building. Also b/c writing bad LOL

Metaverse was marketed as The Future. But in reality, it was horizontal growth into a well-established market. Hiring professional gamedevs would've made that obvious, so Meta instead chose incompetence and sold it as innovation. It was a poor decision driven by SV mythos and it cost Zuck dearly.

The developer's shampoo doesn't affect their final product. Their AI use does, and usually it lowers the quality (real and perceived). That's why execs don't want to have to disclose it: they want to sell bad products as good. Antifreeze in the wine, consequences be damned.
