In a mild season the Algerian Iris, Iris unguicularis, should start #flowering in November and continue until March. They vary in colour from a Lavender blue to a deep purple (there is also a white form) and are from 6 to 8” high. #gardening www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle...

The shield-shaped leaves of Epimedium, some of which remain green while others turn bronze or bronze and green, look pretty with white Christmas roses stuck amongst them. #gardening
