Absolutely but the problem is the majority of our press leans to the right so there’s no balance. So many people have had their world view shaped by this and it has skewed how they vote.

In order for democracy to work, the electorate needs an unbiased press in order to inform their decisions, otherwise so many vote against their own interests. Vested interests control so much of our media which is unfortunately giving populists a platform.
