In honour of the occasion, I am ignoring all other socks in progress & starting a fancy pair of colourwork/ cable socks for myself 💅! Seward Socks by Caitlin Hunter in Exmoor Sock

About 1.5 inches of 1x1 ribbed cuff of a hand knit sock in green wool. The unknit balls of green and light grey yarn are next to it, along with an unwound skein of dusty pink yarn.

Omg. So relatable!! I got a coupon for free shipping at KnitPicks and went down a huge rabbit hole adding tons of stuff to my cart. Then realized I would have gotten free shipping regardless because I met the threshold. One hour later I was so annoyed with myself that I bought nothing! lol!

I also prefer a flap and gusset heel, but the afterthought ones aren't bad. I love using them with self-striping yarn socks so I can get a cool bullseye look.
