I try to keep my students as informed as I can: Japanese translations for the syllabus, homework assignments, and announcements, everything posted on the class LMS in English and Japanese, and every semester I get surprised students saying “I didn’t know I had to do X!”

This id a stupid argument for two reasons: first off, writers are not billionaires so by stealing from us, you’re just exasperating poverty. Second, you want free books? There are more books available free in the public domain than you could read in your lifetime.

We should also establish a maximum wage. Any cent over the maximum is taxed at 100%. If companies can afford million-dollar salaries, then they can redistribute it to their workers.
