I'm not saying this in support of Stephen A. Smith, but if Donald Trump was able to get elected, the concept of "viable presidential candidate" no longer has any functioning meaning. So, like... whatever.

I'm sure Russia will claim it just "got lost" or whatever.

I'm in various digital communities where people will screenshot this crap and drop it into debates as if it is evidence. It drives me nuts.

I even got run out of one such community by the overwhelming number of chuds insisting that it's "mostly accurate" and thus, good enough.

Narrator: That was not, in fact, how free speech worked.

I know it's likely going to cost a really good young arm like Early (or maybe even Tolle) but I really hope they make a trade for Ryan. I feel a lot better about the 2026 rotation if it starts with Crochet and him.

Wait, why do fans think the Sox would be in pursuit of Alonso in the first place? They already likely need to move someone to make room at 1B for next year. We going to sign Kyle Tucker too, and force even more trades where we dump someone? Oy.

The desire to root out ANY form of diversity whether it be neuro, ethnic, or any other kind is just awful. It's all rooted in the same thinking. It's all coming from the same people. :(

It's like Google's AI is interceding, looking at your query, deciding it knows better than you do what you want, rewrites the query, then gives you the results for that. I can't remember the last time I got results that were actually specifically what I was looking for.

Facebook reels got me. No warning. Just... here ya go! Watch a human being die! (This is why I spend very little time on social media these days)

The Red Sox didn't meet with Trump, though. A few players went on a White House tour with their families, were spotted by staff, and pulled into the Oval Office for a photo op because Trump never misses an opportunity for PR. It wasn't an official visit, and wasn't even half the roster.

Also, having interests and engaging with content that is no end-of-the-world stuff is literally necessary. If you only focus on the political, you'll burn out quick. Chill out, let others enjoy things, go find something you can enjoy, and save some of this energy for things that deserve it.
June 30, 2025 at 12:16 AM
Seems to me you're the one concerned about posts. And your assumption that people posting about non-political stuff aren't also engaged with politics is based on nothing. It's just an assumption you are using to justify your having butted in here for no real reason.
June 30, 2025 at 12:15 AM
Then... don't. You have control over what content you see and don't see here. Use it and stop butting into other people's posts to tell them they aren't allowed to post how they want to.

Like, Devers is still here and likely strapped in for the long haul if Breslow just goes to him during the winter and has an honest conversation with him. That's it. That's all he needed to do, and he couldn't.
June 16, 2025 at 2:13 PM
I think he's had some good moves. Narvaez was a great pick up. Slaten as well. The Crochet trade was good, as was the Bregman signing. They've also drafted well under him, though I don't know how much direct input he has there. But he makes some baffling moves as well. And he sucks at communication.
June 16, 2025 at 2:12 PM
That's absolutely a fair take.
June 16, 2025 at 2:08 PM
I agree 100%. I'm mostly just trying to make sense of it from their perspective. This trade hurts. Like Mookie-level hurts. And I wish they hadn't done it. So my brain is scrambling for a way to process it that isn't just "Craig Breslow sucks." He might... but I need to find something to cling to.
June 16, 2025 at 2:01 PM
This is probably not far from reality. And I don't even say that as criticism so much as a way to conceptualize the way really smart executives run a team. Emotion doesn't factor into it, so trades like this are cold and calculating. And sometimes really smart people think themselves into trouble.
June 16, 2025 at 1:52 PM
There is a chance they are better off in the 2nd half because Harrison might be one adjustment from unlocking his stuff, Hicks can dominate out of the pen, and the kids might start hitting. But it will require a lot of good luck. This trade is moving a sure thing for lots of hope, and that sucks.

Or American history...
June 8, 2025 at 3:09 AM
What's wrong with people is that they are people. And are on the internet. Seems to be a rather volatile combination in bringing out the inner-arsehole in some. Heh.
June 3, 2025 at 7:32 PM
Going in, you'd have thought the reverse might be likely. So yeah, winning the one game you couldn't fathom them taking from this series while blowing the other two is peak "Well, that's baseball Suzyn." Heh.
May 14, 2025 at 1:38 PM
Well, good luck with that.
