Bart Groothuis is toch echt zo'n randliberaal, die niet inziet (en waarschijnlijk niet kan inzien) dat andere machten dat liberale spelletje beter spelen dan "onze jongens" met aardappels in hun keel.

I also vaguely remember there was some unofficial visit by ROK military figures to the North Korean embassy in Ulaan Baatar before Yoon's attempt at a "self-coup," was there really such a visit and do you know, somehow, what was that about?

Maar daar ben je natuurlijk ook een kakker van een omhooggevallen "vrije jongens"-familie voor, gewoon doen wat je wilt doen, en alle kritiek wegwuiven met "het is niet verboden, heur!" (Ook heel Zuidas-esk)

More likely, I suppose: they read it as censors to safeguard their offspring's "innocent eyes."

The word is also used to indicate some "minor" remarks, criticisms, which may prove quite scathing in journalistic or academic discourse: "Ik heb nog een aantal kanttekeningen aangaande uw betoog..." etc. This may be an even more common meaning.
