Sitting in a chair, underneath which is a feral little 2-3yo gremlin experiencing his first indoor winter. Through the window I see and hear the blizzard roaring, and I imagine what he possibly would be doing right now if he were still out there. I’m so glad he’s here.

Speaking of beautifully rendered sea things: here is a tuna by the same artist. The only thing stopping me from getting a tattoo of it is that I don’t know where to put it yet.

Haven’t posted the little gremlin in a while. Here he is:

Our last meditation together this morning. It was our daily tradition for the last 4 of his 19 years with us. He’d been with us through so much. Taught us so much. I experienced a lot of spiritual growth, sitting with him like this. I will miss him forever. My perfect precious boy. ♥️♥️♥️

Homemade KD-friendly cat food (makes 6-8 cups of food) - 1 lb stew beef OR 1.5 lbs chicken breast - 1/2 lb chicken hearts/gizzards - 2 cups mixed vegetables - 1 can pumpkin/squash puree - 4 Tbs butter or olive oil - 1 tsp powdered calcium supplement - 1/2 tsp salt 1. Boil beef/chicken, hearts/gizzards, and veggies in a stockpot until the veggies are soft and meat is cooked through. Drain all but ~1 cup of cooking liquid. 2. In a food processor, puree the cooked meat and veggies with the butter/oil. 3. Add the canned squash/pumpkin, calcium, and salt, then puree until smooth and throughly mixed. 4. Makes 6-8 cups of food. We keep one container in the fridge and the rest in the freezer until needed. 5. We serve ~1/3 cup at a time, mixed with a little extra water and warmed through on the stovetop. As many meals as kitty wants through the day.
