Characters left to right: Bolaire, Occtis, Wicander, Azune, Tyrrany, Kattigan, Julien, Teor. same drawign but now monochrome on cream coloured background. the lineart is stylised, expressive and messy and the brush used is thin, scratchy and with one set line thickness.

A warm up page ⭐ #sketchbookart #artstudy
A scanned sketchbook page with graphite studies of dancer Antonio Gades striking an artistic 3/4 body pose (he looked gorgeous in the reference picture) and a portrait of a man grinning in an unsettling way.
Some parts are filled in with a digital Procreate marker for a few pops of colour (mainly yellow and turquoise).
There are scribbles, notes and an Austrian post stamp scattered around as decoration to fill the space.

And I posted the base sketch on K*fi too!
Unfortunately the site is more limited regarding nudity and I had to keep the text short too so I can only share snippets of my work over there.

Earlier this year, I had a proper re-read of the Holmes canon, which made me realise how much I missed making little comics. I've been posting a weekly page (@ theobservanceoftrifles.tumblr.com) for a few months now, and it's just been lovely to engage with the source material again!

Me: Haha, you know. The usual.

A reminder, 9x3 cm #linocut
A print of a lino cut depicting a faun/pan/satyr playing the pan flute with the text "BE KIND" above and under him. The paper is aged and textured so the whole design has a vintage, old feel to it.
