Waking up in a chilly bedroom and navigating brain fog to determine how I can reach what clothes on the floor and somehow get partially dressed under the covers so I don’t freeze my butt off before I make it to the bathroom.
Still here approximately seventeen minutes later.

Am I in a minority in that I am sick of reading books that start each chapter with a quote from someone as a hint or lead-in to the plot/setting/theme of the chapter?
Just give me your own thoughts, please, and get on with the show.
Am I just being curmudgeonly?
