The new Metra Electric station at 79th/Chatham is, dare I say, purty! Can't wait for more of them to be reconstructed, then maybe increase the frequency from 1 train an hour? Pls?
View from the sidewalk on 79th Street of the new station Immediately inside the station house is a Metra timetable and map Interior view of the street level portion of the station, with some pretty and colorful tile on the wall and a real-time arrival info display. Not many people though Stairs and elevator from the platform level, with some cool lights on the handrails and on the ceiling.

Finally had a big enough grocery run to share my grocery-getter setup! You would be amazed at how much you can fit into panniers. I didn't even need to use my crate! #bikesky
Loaded up bike with a pair on panniers on both the front and the back, in front of a local grocery stored called Edgewater Produce The grocery haul laid out, including cat litter, some totally healthy snacks, three racks of ribs that were on sale, and enough veggies for three meals later this week!

Here are some pics from my first bike tour ever I did last year! Rode from Rothbury, MI to Traverse City solo over four days, riding USBR 35 along the lake. I thought "oh I'm on my bike I can pack heavier" and yeah... that was a choice.

As it gets cold I yearn for summer again to ride and explore
