Very pleased to update that I bought a 2015 Subaru Forester with a panoramic sunroof and six speed manual transmission. It's not a convertible, but I am having a lot of fun driving it.

Really struggling with basic life care stuff right now, and I wish I had a person like me (when I'm well, that is) that I could hire to help out. But ain't that the rub, I'm short on work and can't afford to hire anyone anyways🙃

I'm having issues standing for more than a few minutes at a time, much less doing physical labor like cleaning and organizing and such. Even sitting at my desk when I'm in the office is difficult, because my tolerance for bright lights and loud noises is so much lower.

I'm actually pissed off to the point that I want to prove them wrong in the most autistic way possible: collecting quotes from platforms for hybrid conferences and local AV companies, compiling a report on how much it would actually cost per person to make the con remotely accessible.

By early February, I sent an email to the company saying "hey, it might not be safe for some people to attend in person" (plus making the education aspect of the con more accessible) and given the overall company culture, I had hoped for a better response. Blanket "too expensive" excuse.

I actually attended the event in January of this year, and I had a great time! I learned a lot! I met a lot of cool people! My boss asked me if I wanted to go back next year before we even left Dallas, and I said yes. That was right before the inauguration.

Completely wild to me that they bothered to look me up and found my business email address and figured I might be just the person to ask about this. Doubly wild that they were kinda right? It feels weird to be considered an expert, but after more than a decade in business, I suppose that's ...legit?

Another writer for another publication (The Spruce?) read that article and reached out to me about getting stickers off of stuff. I was like "cool, that depends on what kind of sticker, how long it's been there..." And just kept going. Several paragraphs about it. Peak nerd shit.

This kind of shit is everywhere in quickbooks online. And Google everything. I have a Pixel 6 Pro, and they've pushed at least some of the Gemini updates. I definitely don't want to upgrade my phone until I absolutely have to because of all the new AI "features" that I don't want and can't turn off

My thought is to start a few different post threads and then come back to them as I want to record subject specific links, ask questions, have a four or five post wall of text about one of them, and hope that whatever wording I use triggers a post's inclusion into a relevant feed on bsky.
