At times, the football last night was of the champagne variety, swashbuckling forwards plundering four more goals.

The full picture, as always, is a less rosy one.

Taking Salah out of the Liverpool team certainly helps them improve defensively.

There remains, however, major concerns over the guy brought in to replace his goals in the long term.

This run of games was always going to give us the truest indication of where Manchester United are at.

There's been recent improvement that will buy Amorim time, but those gains, to quote a ghost of recent past, are only marginal.

As unlikely as it may seem at this stage, Andre Onana remains open to giving his Man Utd career one more shot next season.

He is far more likely, however, to follow Rashford and Sancho out the door on a permanent basis.
