I get it, jazz is diverse. There’s Bop, Swing, Latin (and all its variations), Big Band, and Trad to name a few, So finding your lane takes something. All I can say is when it comes down to it there are only two types of jazz; jazz where possibilities arise and redemption/connection occurs or noise.

During the turmoil that was the pandemic I started to seriously apply myself to the tenor sax. 5 and half years on and I am very glad I did. Each instrument brings with it limitations and opportunities, possibilities and realities. Finding the context that works for your creativity is imperative.
