I’m an anti-colonialist dish that makes its own gravy. Songwriter, guitarist, indie music producer, poetry, snark and punk4life.
For last year's words belong to last year's language.
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.

T.S. Eliot was really really good at New Years & always knew what to say, but rarely went to parties. That's because he understood irony. Happy New Year.

Classic rock fans always assume that everyone is a classic rock fan. Classic rock is the NFL football of music.

we’re alive

You’re not procrastinating. You’ve got all day. Still time to not let down everyone who loves & depends on you as an exemplar. What have you been doing? Watching television? It’s fine. Lose some weight during the commercial breaks. Yes of course you’re a better person. You’re still here. Excelsior!

NYE Resolution: More social media. Gaza War is being resolved on Instagram.Twitter/X is reducing hostilities in Ukraine, & Tik Tok has decreased world hunger by 30%. There’s nothing we can’t do if we simply take time out each day to offer our broadly-defined mostly-plagiarized thoughts. Excelsior!

Song Sung Blue is getting a lot of late season hype as a sleeper that’s awards-worthy, but so far nobody has mentioned whether or not Neil Diamond dies at the end.

Resolution: healthy lifestyle in 2025. Ingest effective binding agents for the colon & processed oils. Lower my water consumption. Eat extra mayonnaise throughout the day, but how how much whiskey before bed? Maybe put reminders on some post-it notes by the table where I have my morning cigarette.

I know what I said the other day, that I was gonna die with you out on the streets tonight in an everlasting kiss, but I have to reschedule. Ugh, this rain.

People are always dying and having birthdays. So it’s like, Brigitte Bardot? Yeah she died. Cake?

People tend to complain about getting older but I don't because of all the exciting new things to do. For instance, I now can exercise with a chair.

I was reviewing British Vogue's Top Fashion Moments of 2025, and the irony is that I was myself having a fashion moment while reading it.

Top Fashion Moments between Christmas and New Years always go unnoticed.

Holiday commercials are so emotional & moving. My favorite right now is the old couple at the hospital, excited about becoming grandparents, but they get even more joyful and smiling when they find out they got a brand new Apple Watch & iPad from Verizon. Cuz c’mon. It’s the mystery of life.

New Year’s Resolutions:more shoes, less sneakers;replace awesome with socko!;better grooming & shiny metallic robot clothes;less forced dancing;more giggling children;less talk about money;evangelize music;sleep in more, but for sexual reasons;eat all the ice cream you want to. Don’t work out.

Dear Weather Channel, Thank you for "River Flood Warning." I do not live near a River, nor know any River People, their canoes hidden away from the marauding Hill People. The time of the thaw is still months away. The oceans roil with foreboding, and food provisions are meager. Time for a Slim Jim.

If you haven’t read the new Apple Cloud Rules & Regulations, you really should take the time to inform yourself. Prima Nochta is back!

I thought they’d wrung out all the possible chuckles from the franchise, but The Santa Clause: Day of the Soldado is hilarious and has an important message about the dangers of delivering toys to the children of the cartel.

In a surprise and daring move for a sequel of such a modern classic, Elf: The Winter Soldier has a powerful message of deep humanism, when one comes face-to-face with one’s alter ego, and there just doesn’t seem to be enough Christmas cheer to stop a one-man killing machine.

Surprisingly powerful, Bad Santa and the Half-Blood Prince is searing meditation on the danger and heartbreak of being an alcoholic teenage wizard, who has an unexpected journey of redemption with a shopping mall employee who makes the mistake of stealing his presents to sell for whiskey money.

In all fairness, the George-less Pottersville features nightclubs up and down the strip, a bowling alley, pool halls, a boxing venue, a hotel, cocktail lounge, and a burlesque theater. Looks hella fun and a significant improvement over sleepy Bedford Falls.

If Christmas is proof of anything, it’s that most people, most of the time, would rather just be home in their pajamas all day.

How chances mock, And changes fill the cup of alteration With divers liquors! O, if this were seen, The happiest youth, viewing his progress through, What perils past, what crosses to ensue,
Would shut the book and sit him down and die.

Happy Xmas from Will Shakespeare
