According to the media the visit is ‘scaled down’, but it would be be wrong to see a visit at Pituffik as a retreat by the US. The convential MAGA playbook is to enforce rhetorical attacts. Vance will probably do so during his visit at Pituffik, not least to suck up to his primary audience: Trump.
