I'm not ignorant that there is a lot going on in religion. I just don't have personal experience with it. It's an interesting topic for me as an outsider, but maybe it's not something that should be discussed, because as I said: so easy to step on people's toes.

That was my not always great brand of being flippant. I definitely should have used better words.
But to get this back on track: the insult is giving wrong advise, giving it based on holy scripture, or impersonating a character it shouldn't? From the other answers in this thread, I assume the 3rd?

If by he you mean me, I just didn't understood what was meant by offending. The clarification that it's offending for a part of religious people was good enough for me.
I wouldn't have thought that an app, trying to draw conclusions out of information as such is offensive...

I'm sure there are other examples, but this one springs to mind immediately.

Ah. So you meant to say it's offensive to a group of people - in this case some of the religious folks. Thanks for the clarificatio, because I couldn't understand why that would be offensive. I thought it was generating insults or farting noises or so.

I would say it's in general preferable to read the book, and I avoid getting spoilered before. So in general it wasn't bad advice. But your information perfectly answered my question. I just wanted a quick hint from someone who knows, otherwise I could have just typed grok into my search bar.
