'The slow hiring pace is clearly leading to a growing population of people that want a job and do not have one...history suggests that when we see moves like this we usually experience a recession before the trend reverses.'

Here's a Bloomberg chart from Standard Chartered showing how much real US GDP growth has come to depend more and more on AI spending in just a couple of years. It now accounts for roughly two-thirds of the economy’s expansion, far outpacing consumer spending.

I wish to dispose of a big Nazi State Service flag my late father captured in WWII. It would be great to burn it at a properly motivated demonstration in NYC, where I live, but I no longer know people who really organize these things. Any suggestions, PLEASE?

Squidley doesn't look all that happy to see me after much busy travel on my part, but she's kneading my chest, following me everywhere, and purring like a lawnmower!

Yum. Trump spent vast amounts of money on this misdemeanor trial after a grand jury refused to indict Sean Dunn. 'The trial dragged on three days, and the jury deliberated for part of both Wednesday and Thursday before Dunn was ultimately acquitted.'

I cannot see how Americans will not freak out very soon about utility rates—while Trump blithely strives to ban cheap renewables and line his pockets with shakedowns and crypto games. People notice their energy bills every month!

Happy #Caturday from #Squidley, who celebrated her 10th birthday on #Halloween! When I first met her in spring 2016 and was photographing her, she grabbed my iPhone and forced this "selfie"! I fell in love. This pic even has a ghoulish quality that befits her birth date ...

If Cuomo were mayor, we'll pay for further revenge.
Discovery demands include subpoenas for phone records and even gynecological records from alleged victims. His legal costs are covered by taxpayers under state law since the lawsuits focus on his conduct on the job.

This is a superb essay from Frank Rich that spares few. He rips on Schumer, Cuomo, Netanyahu, the NYC establishment, you name it. (MSN, no paywall, originally from NY Mag)

“A deep betrayal of U.S. law enforcement, whose agents risked their lives to apprehend the gang members,” said Douglas Farah, a U.S. contractor who helped investigate and dismantle MS-13. “Who would ever trust the word of U.S. law enforcement or prosecutors again?”
