My wife does most of the clothes shopping and she has a massive preference for natural fibres but she won't reject a nice piece if it has some synthetics, because it has already been made and purchased so it is in the system.

We have co-mingled recycling. Everything in the one bin and the machinery does 95% of the sorting. Our council is quite good on the recycling front but if there is no market for glass where does it go?
November 17, 2025 at 6:08 AM
Yes, been recycling everything we can for 50 years. Clothes from op-shops etc. Individual action will never be enough, we need governments to do more to mandate change. There are massive problems to fix. Here in WA no-one is making glass bottles so most of our glass goes in landfill.

If you get the right recipe a homemade vegan nut roast can be delicious. I am a meat eater.

People need to form organising committees now to select their community independants. The successful model has been demonstrated. In our seat of O'Connor, held by the utterly useless Rick Wilson, they were organising before the last election with an eye on 2028.

This stuff is way worse than any can of insecticide that you can get your hands on.

I am fairly comfortable around most ag chemicals, particularly the modern ones. I would not even consider using dimethoate. It is a horrible nerve poison.

It works in Australia with a mix of public and private hospitals. Most private hospitals are profitable but they have to compete with the public ones so profits are modest. It costs me about $50AU to see my GP. When I had cancer surgery it was free, including accommodation 400km from home.

I read the whole story and saw that people are complaining that they only went last year because it was billed as the last ever Bluesfest. Instead of celebrating that their support has kept it alive.

This is a nothing story. 1 million tonnes is 4 years at the world current production rate of 240,000T/year.

Always a scary time. Last time I was sacked, the company was well down the drain and my role should have been one of the first to go. Still got that lump in the throat when I was called in for the fully expected meeting.

My first reaction was Atom Heart Mother, for its big cow. But I needed to get an Ozzy joke in.

Yeah, I would listen to her for $25k, but in my defence, I am a poor person.
November 6, 2025 at 6:14 AM
She is the most superb liar I have ever seen. Fronts up without any hint of shame and delivers the lies she has been fed.

Which was better? In my experience of having my cancerous prostate removed the care could not have been better. Friends with full insurance paid between $8k-$11k. One of them nearly died from sepsis. (West Aus, and yes of that age)

I said nearly. Horrible person, but I think he had some respect for the US constitution and rule of law (in the US)
International law, Wassat?

Cheney nearly looks OK from 2025.

I have no idea what you mean.

Thanks Paul. It is the same one that I already use but I didn't recognise it. Mine opens in OSM rather than Satellite view and I have never seen such intense activity.

I really liked the Scutters on Red Dwarf. I call my side cutter pliers Scutters.

Thanks Tim. I had never heard of Allmaps or IIIF. Long time user of ARCGis, Mapwindow and QGIS.
I will have a look.
