My most boomer move of 2025:

(Maybe ever?)

Accidentally texted the doctor’s office that did my dental implant instead of the text thread with my two college BFFs.

Such an excellent breakdown of the 49ers play of the season.

(Yes, we’re five games in, but I’m calling it now.)

@eric-branch.bsky.social does it all — history stories, big picture looks and deep dives into special moments like this.

The story of the final snap:

The Rams tried to "big boy" but a backup who was the smallest player on the field helped turn them back.

“He told me, ‘Man, shoot the C gap. If you see them run the crunch, shoot the gap, f--- it up."

No team ever deserved 10 days off more than this one.

What. A. Game.

I'm so glad Mac Jones didn't have to take the field again. Rocky Balboa-like performance.

Thet’s a beauty!! I’ve come very close twice to purchasing a Robotron arcade game but I’m probably leaning more toward pinball now.

Off the beaten path but we took the streetcar to this place on Magazine St. two months ago & my po’ boy was fabulous.

Maybe it was earlier? I watched from like 37 minutes forward.

None taken!!

It does make me sad we have fewer of these characters roaming around S.F.. Brown Twins, Bushman, etc.

Even the tap-dancing dude near the cable car turnaround seems to have retired 😥

Was glad to find one true eccentric carrying the flame.

I mean, among *living* San Franciscans.

(Although Joseph Amster does a wonderful job bringing the Emperor to life as performer and a tour guide.)

It was more of a locals place back then. I lived on the Burlingame/San Mateo border & didn’t know about it growing up.

The internet & a Condé Nast piece blew it wide open & got it in guidebooks etc. I still hear from locals who are mad about it.
