Had a great time hanging out in The Flipper Room, a Concord frame shop that's also ... a pinball arcade? (They blend together perfectly.)

Also a stealth story about work/life balance.

Even the tap-dancing dude near the cable car turnaround seems to have retired 😥

It was more of a locals place back then. I lived on the Burlingame/San Mateo border & didn’t know about it growing up.

The internet & a Condé Nast piece blew it wide open & got it in guidebooks etc. I still hear from locals who are mad about it.
