As of Monday, the Australian Government have deployed ADF personnel to support the flood emergency response, assisting emergency services with planning, welfare checks, clearing routes, engineering work, and re-establishing access to critical infrastructure.

We've strengthened the PBS with two new medicines added today – Dabrafenib and trametinib for eligible children diagnosed with low-grade glioma or high-grade glioma with the BRAF V600E mutation. Without the PBS subsidy, families would have to pay $178,000 for a year of treatment.

Since we’ve come to Government, families paying for 30 hours of childcare per week are now $2,768 better off since September 2023, while under the Liberals, childcare prices rose by 49%.

The three-day guarantee replaces the current Activity Test from January 2026, with guaranteed eligibility for 3 days a week of early education for children who need it. This will save an average of $1,370 for eligible families.
