If you're interested, I actually went through all of the government administrative/department sites that were listed on USA.gov's agency index and looked to see how many were violating the Hatch act. The (IMO) most unhinged one was from the department of the treasury.

I just blew my 5 year old's mind with what my high school track and cross country jersey number was:

You know those shirts that say "only the best dads get promoted to grandpa"?

If I'm lucky enough to have grandkids one day, I want my copy of the shirt to say that, but with this image underneath:

I wrote a whole dissertation about video games and politics. I have thousands of hours clocked across the Halo franchise. I use GenAI for work and am one of the experts in it for my team. So I can confidently say, across multiple fields of expertise, that we are in the stupidest fucking timeline.

Goddamn, what a deeply unserious government. My 5 year old has better tact.

Taylor Swift can encourage people to register to vote, so I guess it shouldn't surprise us that she can get people to learn about Shakespeare.

Wikipedia page-hits for "Ophelia" spiked following the drop of the tracklist for "The Life of a Showgirl" as well as the album itself. #databs

If Democrats want to continue to erode Trump's support with young men, they should be trumpeting about how his tarrifs are making their video games more expensive, I'm not even joking

A few months ago, Paul Musgrave introduced the Qatar Cars dataset, an updated version of mtcars better suited for teaching international audiences. Shortly after, @andrew.heiss.phd made it into an R package. I thought I'd go ahead and make it a Python package! #datatabs

My favorite meme on this topic!

(And uhhh if you ever want a guest lecturer---I've got inchoate thoughts about MHA/OPM/SL and state+market partnerships and how almost every Isekai propagates the whole "only an outsider can save the kingdom"

I love how the state names get progressively less sensible as the map goes from West to East.

Hello! Fascinating study and I'm enjoying answering but there appears to be a programming error. The instructions say to "leave rows blank" if you haven't seen that behavior in any game but it won't let you progress if you haven't answered a row. I suggest a "None of these" option as a fix.
