Even as they parrot things like "It's just the worst of the worst" and "but no one was mad about Obama's deportations" they almost never hesitate to use ICE like a rhetorical cudgel against anyone and everyone. Citizenship doesn't matter, legal residency doesn't matter.

It's cool that "we can't afford it" is something we say about extending healthcare subsidies but everyone in government and the mainstream press seems to forget those words when we're setting up standing armies in American cities.

Not to mention that in a car you can get killed or be involved in someone else getting killed and have it be 100% out of your control. If I'm unfortunate enough to have that happen, I'm going to need every bit of "there's nothing I could have done" to even attempt to cope with it.

There should be a greater understanding that there is now a world of difference between different bags. "I just smoked" can now mean like "I had a beer" or "I just did four shots of whiskey"

This is a big one. It's not even about the THC per sey, it's that *the car is dangerous*. Every time you drive there's an uncomfortably high % chance you're going to kill yourself or someone else. It's your responsibility to lower that percentage as much as humanly possible. That includes THC.

As a life long pot smoker I think it's important to detox every so often. I'm on about a year now of no THC. And while I'm planning to use it again, I think it's important to regularly reestablish your baseline. This is all the more important now that it's so much more potent than it used to be.
