Freelance translator English/German/French to Dutch since 1998. Lots of technical translators, also more fun departments like comic books and toy trains. Less tourism, a rather difficult beast because of the amount of topics covered in touristic brouchers.
only some pictures of his drawings on one BS account, and some pictures taken during his walks in France on his other account.

as a comic book artist he more or less needs publicity. Maybe that's why he left BlueSky: not unnecessary putting his private life in the open.
But I wonder whether he left because of that, or because he's ill. He might also just have no interest in it. He never published a lot on social media 2/3

Yes, he was. Previously he was on Twitter, but left because there were too much weirdo's getting in touch with him up there. I think he then went to Mastodon, and finally started two accounts on BlueSky. But now he left that too.
He has always kept himself a bit out of the public eye, although (1/2)

Our solar system has 3 planets in the Goldilock zone, the zone where life was considered possible because running water is possible at that distance from the star.
Yet, only one out of three got life.

Trouble is this kind of ideas is all based in guesses. The variables are unknown, and have to be guessed. You can end up with anything.

According to Wikipedia the 2024 estimate of the population in the USA is about 340,110,988. So, yes, 1 in 10 is circa 35m.

I don't think it's possible to revive the series. It's certainly possible to come up with a new series, partly inspired by the ABC's / ITV's The Avengers, but lots of water has gone through the Thames since those days, and I don't think it's still possible to bring John Steed / Emma Peel types (1/2)

Any idea whether Andreas Martens is still on BlueSky? Or did he disappear here and pop up somewhere else?

November 21, 2025 at 11:09 AM
