Retired lawyer whose best job ever was in the recreation department of a mental institution. Though that place and the legal profession are often hard to tell apart. I like to write jokes. Warning: Occasional puns.
New Jersey is wrongly maligned. I have written many poetic rhapsodies about the state, such as:

A nose to plunder, an ear to poke in
Ah, life is grand in sunny Hoboken.

I wouldn't like to have dinner with anyone who's dead. You'd just be staring at a mute skeleton.

I think Manos, the Hands of Fate, needs a 21st century reappraisal.

I made the mistake once of wearing shorts and no underwear. I think the horse's name was Chafing.

Don't forget the little broom.

It looks like you bite your nails. Are you a writer by any chance?

The amount of money a group spends on lobbying is usually in inverse proportion to the societal value of their goals. That sounds too clinical. How about: the goal of most governments is to preserve quiet among the masses and ensure the continued safety and wealth of the monied classes.

We all should. I'm going to edit some of mine today, so I hope that counts.

Oh, that's nice. I remember being in the Badlands and seeing storms in the distance.

I am not sure I believe them. They will cover up crime and corruption - why not their ignorance?

Washingtonian Magazine used to have a poll of Congressional staffers and ask questions about the Members. We had a Senator named Scott who was named Dumbest Senator for some years running.

I love Lempicka, and that general style. I haven't been to the National Portrait Gallery in DC in years, but they had some paintings in that style. Somewhat similar - the man and horse in front of the Federal Trade Commission building, which I walked past every day (I worked there).

Likely very young dinosaurs.

Someone sent in a joke to Reader's Digest that I did for the Style Invitational and it was attributed to me, for which I was grateful, but that shmoe got the fifty bucks. Now I have to find that joke you told the bartender.

Excuse me while I go into the bathroom and reassess this.

His thought experiment was with a cat and a box. Ever have a pet cat? Put an open box on the floor and the cat will lay down inside. Thus proving - that Schrodinger was not as smart as a cat.
