The Affordable Care Act has literally saved lives in Michigan and across the country.

That’s why I fought tooth-and-nail to pass it, and that’s why I am still fighting to make health care more affordable.

I’m thinking of the entire Grand Blanc community tonight as folks gather to reflect and support one another following the tragic events of September 28th. I want to thank all the community partners who banded together to make this service a reality. www.abc12.com/news/grand-b...

We are witnessing Trump’s policies drive up health care costs across the board.

In fact, more than 22 million Americans will soon see their premiums DOUBLE.

I’m working to ensure all Michiganders can afford quality health care coverage.

Cyberattacks put our economic and national security at risk. I’m working to pass my bipartisan bill to renew key cybersecurity protections that will safeguard businesses and their customers against destructive data breaches.

Ranking Member @peters.senate.gov is pushing the Senate to pass his bipartisan bill that will IMMEDIATELY renew vital national security protections that have safeguarded our country from cybercriminals and foreign adversaries for the last ten years.

Here’s the deal right now: Trump & Republicans are willing to shut down the government instead of work with Democrats to prevent health care costs from rising even more. People are hurting as a result of Trump’s severe cuts, and Americans’ premiums are expected to double. We must take action.

A major law that has protected Americans from cyberattacks for the last ten years has now expired. Ranking Member @peters.senate.gov once again urged his colleagues on the Senate floor to IMMEDIATELY pass a long-term extension of this critical law before lasting damage occurs.

As Yom Kippur begins this evening, I’m wishing a meaningful holiday to all those who are observing.

My statement on the horrible attack in Grand Blanc Township this morning:
I am appalled by the horrible attack in Grand Blanc Township this morning.

Violence targeting people peacefully gathering to practice their faith is completely unacceptable. I’m thankful for the law enforcement and first responders who were immediately on the scene, and I’m continuing to follow this situation closely. My thoughts are with the victims, their loved ones, and the entire community during this difficult time.

@peters.senate.gov new report found that DOGE put YOUR sensitive data at risk. Whistleblowers say that because information was uploaded to an unsecured server, it could be hacked – and every American could need to be issued a new Social Security number.

Trump’s Big, Bad Bill is already making it harder for families across our state to afford groceries, pay their energy bills, and receive health care – just to give billionaires a tax cut.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!

This month, we celebrate the vibrant culture and significant contributions that our Latino friends, neighbors, and colleagues have made in communities throughout Michigan.

Trump’s tariffs are hurting American manufacturers and workers. We need a real strategy to create jobs and grow our economy, not this continuous chaos.

The government threatening to remove a network’s broadcast licenses just because the President doesn’t like its content is state censorship.

When Trump and his FCC cronies make these threats, what they’re really attacking is Americans’ 1st Amendment right to free speech and a free press.

Our nation’s debt is alarming, and Trump’s tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy are only making it worse. I took to the Senate floor once again to remind my Republican colleagues of the dangers we face if we do not change course – and do it soon.

Great to have some Michigan @teamsters.bsky.social in the office. Thank you for always bringing Michigan workers’ voices to Washington. I’m with you every step of the way in Congress to ensure fair wages and a better future for working families.

I’m very grateful to law enforcement for responding to these threats quickly. As Americans, we must reject this pattern of violence and do our part to turn the temperature down. Political differences must never lead to violence, and pointing fingers only stokes more hatred and threatens lives.
2 Michigan politicians report bomb threats targeting where they live
Michigan Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist II and state Sen. Jeremy Moss, D-Southfield, said bomb threats targeted where they live.

I’ll never forget how we came together as a nation after the horrific terrorist attacks on 9/11. Today, I’m proud to continue to lead a bipartisan effort to establish "Patriot Week" - which honors the sacrifices made on that dark day. Special thanks to Oakland Co. Judge Warren for his partnership.

On this 24th anniversary of 9/11, may we honor the memory of the 2,977 Americans who lost their lives, the families whose loved ones never came home, and the first responders who selflessly ran into danger. Let us never forget the strength of a united America.

I am praying for Charlie Kirk, his family and the students at Utah Valley University who were impacted by today’s despicable shooting. We must stand against all political violence. It has no place in our democracy.

Many Michigan aerospace manufacturers directly support @NASA's work. But unfortunately this Administration has created a lot of uncertainty about the future of NASA & critical missions like Artemis.

These missions drive economic growth & discovery. We must continue to invest in space exploration.
