At the National Archives today and spotted these in the shop. Hope you have them!

Sure thing. They share but more as regions you are right. But as an exercise, I was just musing where they’d come on the tables you drew up.

Interesting and excellent insight as always from you (and Adam). But I wonder where the BBC Local network would be in your table? (You list other networks, so why not this one…? Just a thought!)

Great to see you there Nicky and hear all your stories. A great night. Thanks to you, Alex and Richard.

Thought this too. Also, the edits are obvious and surely there is a phrase that can be used ahead of a (potential) ad break, that doesn’t highlight that in fact the break has *no* ads.

Thanks for the Kenny show this week. I am embarrassed to say I really didn’t appreciate him as much as I should have done on Capital and you showed me what I missed. Thank you.

In summary: it would not cost £10m just “to reopen” the theatre. That cost is for much more work; c£2m is already in budget; the rest could be found from the council or elsewhere.
December 6, 2024 at 2:06 PM
Additionally, no-one used the word “eye watering” (which I appreciate is the papers interpretation), indeed there was not only no widespread shock at the amount but the leader said it could be afforded and some of that money may come from other sources. And it wd be much less if less work was done.
December 6, 2024 at 2:04 PM
This makes it clear that the £10m includes a refurbishment (possibly new seats, raising the roof to allow bigger productions etc).
December 6, 2024 at 2:01 PM
“indicative costs are estimated to be in the region of £10million to remove and remediate the RAAC and refurbish the theatre to bring it back into use.”
December 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM
But only later does it have an actual quote from the council leader:
December 6, 2024 at 1:59 PM
And then “it has been revealed the cost of fixing the site will be about £10m.”
December 6, 2024 at 1:58 PM
The article says “In a major update it's been announced it would cost about £10million to reopen Redhill's Harlequin Theatre.”
December 6, 2024 at 1:57 PM
Except that’s not really what he said…

Hello back! Don’t think it weird but I also follow a namesake who writes for a cycling website. A colleague at work also has our name too (I get their emails). I once made the mistake of googling ‘us’ on a work PC and found that ‘we’ are also an, ahem, adult movie star! Very best regards, Peter!

Sorry for your loss Nicky.
