Bournemouth beach was fantastic this morning. The air was so clear I felt I could touch the Isle of Wight. Dramatic clouds, and the sun finally burst above them.
Then in truly British tradition it started raining.

I was named after a budgie by my 2 year old sister. Be grateful it's not worse.

I put it on my Christmas list.

I normally read about 2 books a week. I've been reading Don Quixote for over a month now. It's good, but not exactly a page turner. Plus it's actually 2 books. Probably better in the original Spanish.

I've cycled down it, so it's real!!

Really looking forward to this all being open - and the spring. Will make it so much easier and safer to cycle Moordown to Poole Park.

I admire your positivity!

I wonder what the ratio of people who can cycle to people who can drive is. I suspect more people can cycle than drive a car (especially if you count children).

I shouldn't laugh, it's not nice. I just couldn't help myself.

Can't wait to visit Pontypridd and the valleys again for some great cycling and swimming.

So WonderWatt kept charging the battery

I don't think so. And don't Kia EVs come with an 8 year warranty?
September 22, 2025 at 5:30 AM
As my wife enjoys saying (not just about hybrids) - it's just more to go wrong. If charging at home is possible an EV will invariably be a better choice. And sometimes, even when you can't charge at home.

Thanks for clarifying. I guess that's slightly better, if it uses waste heat.

The article says they used electrolysis, unless I've misunderstood.

So, did they burn gas to create electricity to produce hydrogen which they then burnt later to produce electricity? Doesn't sound very efficient to me.

I can't see it beating battery storage though.

The washing machine and tumble dryer are also on. My lovely wife's about to mow the lawn. Thanks for the free electricity @octopus.energy !
