Today, a company's stations can't reach more than 39% of US households—a reasonable safeguard against, say, an authoritarian putsch.

But this sort of media consolidation is precisely what Trump is aiming for, so long as his friends are in charge, as they increasingly are.

MAGA’s Little Helpers: Sinclair, Nexstar and the Consolidation of Broadcast TV

Very odd SCOOP:

Just weeks before the 2024 primary election between Cori Bush and Wesley Bell, Bell used over $35,000 in campaign funds to buy his friend's Dodge Durango, which the friend had failed to sell two years earlier.

He then hired the friend, who now drives the car.

The congressman from St. Louis put some of AIPAC's money to an unusual use. He now faces a rematch with Cori Bush.

This is not a drill: Trump says that people who criticize him and his administration are responsible for "terrorism," and he's outlined a plan to prosecute this "conspiracy."

Under Trump, Criticism Is Now Criminal
After the killing of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk, Trump escalated his war on free speech, calling for criminalizing criticism of himself.

Jeff Bezos lives in a far-out fantasy in his own mind... and he's been remarkably clear about this for his entire adult life... about time we start listening and stop treating him as if he was wise or even normal
