I propose that it be a hard cap based on MLB revenue the previous season. Right now, MLB players make about 51% of MLB revenue, almost exactly as much as the NBA. I'd set that year's MLB salary floor at 40% and cap it at 60% of the preceding season's gross revenues.

I've stopped doing that. People are too noisy and rude in the cinema.

Tear gas is banned by the Geneva Conventions, but the USA gov't still uses it on their own citizens.
Wednesday a family of 8 was simply driving home when ICE deployed a tear gas canister under their car, setting off every airbag & causing near-fatal asthma attacks.
