Yeah, it's pretty damn miserable. Though I'm kinda just done with caring. If I lose some arbitrary digital Cool Points™ for admitting I fucked up, so be it. Same for if other folks I see admit as such.

Entirely fair, apologies for not articulating my stance better. I struggle to put my thoughts together fully and coherently with character limits involved. I’ve many more thoughts on the whole thing but I think we generally agree on what’s most important.

Hmmm. I don’t feel like that’s a sufficient enough answer from me. Ultimately, regardless of how I feel about Maduro, it shouldn’t take away from the fact that what’s happening is wrong. I’d rather not make that implication. The focus should be on US behavior.

I can’t excuse some of the things his regime has done, including to folks I care about. Human rights abuses, authoritarian shit, et cetera. But really all that lands me in is a position where I hate all parties involved, so I’m cynical about just about everything right now. Everything fucking sucks.

Maduro is anything but peaceful, he’s a monster, but it really doesn’t fucking matter. This whole thing is unacceptable. And it’s only happening because the administration wants control of the oil and such.

Maybe I’m too cynical, but I don’t feel like we were close very. Maybe relatively speaking, but still years if not decades away. Regardless, we’ll get back on course. Much as it’s hard to stay positive sometimes, to give up would be to let them win in advance.

I don’t love the US, I love what we could be if we weren’t so fucking awful. Which frankly just makes me hate everything going on even more.
