I gave intro comments prior to tonight's screening of WINTER LIGHT. Right after the movie ended, someone in the back of the theater blurted out an incredulous "what?!?" I could not have wished for a more perfect reaction at that moment.

Saw WHITE CHRISTMAS (1954) in theater this afternoon. A fun, satisfying crowd pleaser for sure, but I feel like I could eviscerate the essence of what the movie was aiming for if I just decided to not go along with it.

Wot's dis that just showed up on the top of my New Release bin?!?! Looks like a compilation of live trax from Aphex Twin recorded over the past 8 years. Song titles yield no info on what I should expect but once I listen to 'em, I'm sure they'll all make perfect sense.

It wasn't that long ago when the words "Directed by Sammo Hung" would be just about the last thing one could imagine appearing on the cover of a Criterion Collection Blu-ray. Times have changed! I'm good with it.
