Last Friday I had the honor of taking part in the jubilee concert celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Pruszkowianka Wind Orchestra.
Great band and an unforgettable evening.

"This section is not visible to customers"
Not really.

I just hate OEDA. You can't use it offline despite what the readme says (no, it doesn't save js libraries) and it's so damn bugged it's impossible to get what you need.

AHF 25.7 is marked as obsolete and cannot be downloaded. It's the latest available version. You can download it directly from the AHF Doc ID 2550798.1, but there are no checksums there.
WTH?

Cannot open SQLcl from SQLDev due to this error, but I can connect successfully from the edit connection window as the password field is not checked for content there.
July 22, 2025 at 11:28 AM
For me just released SQLDev 25.2.2 finally started to work, I can now connect without getting some error and what's more even secure external password store (oracle wallet) connection type started to work! The only issue is when trying to connect from connections list, it expects to enter password.
July 22, 2025 at 9:21 AM
Another thing worth to mention is #SQLcl now seems to be not so much dependant on JDBC driver version when using thick connection and works with any 23 client (tested IC 23.5-23.8) as long as it's in the path. I don't find the selected excerpt from release notes to be true, it doesn't work that way.

ORA-600/ORA-7445 Troubleshooting tools on MOS are not working for me - at least since yesterday.

Where is the Standalone CVU for Oracle Database 19 on Linux x86-64 ?!?
For HP-UX Itanium CVU version 19.27 April 2025 was already released in Nov-2023 🤣
June 20, 2025 at 9:17 AM
It's also interesting to note the newly updated DB clone RU 19.27 is not just base DB/OCW RU 19.27 but comes with 8 additional one-offs, with only 1 being listed on Oracle Database 19c and 23ai Important Recommended One-off Patches (Doc ID 555.1). How they choose what goes where is a mystery.🤷‍♂️
June 20, 2025 at 7:15 AM
Now looks like Oracle is manipulating with OEDA version on MOS - just yesterday version 25.1.4 was still available, today is not, but 25.1.3 is still marked as obsolete/replaced by 25.1.4.
And 25.1.4 is still available on Oracle Software Delivery Cloud (edelivery).

And to my surprise we have something in common 😎

His melodic solos are iconic and unique. Only you can rock me 🤟

Call me old-school but Michael Schenker is my favorite rock guitar player. I was lucky to hear him play songs from UFO era this Thursday at Cracow Kwadrat club. What a blast!
✅ on my bucket list.
April 19, 2025 at 4:35 PM
And one more thing: the documentation, MOS notes and all the Oracle blogs quote this exact sql_monitor event example syntax for 2 sql id's which actually does not work.
'oradebug doc event' sheds some light on this, but still according to it you should be able to select multiple scopes with '|' ...

Have you seen new AI assisted search on MOS?
I can see the potential here, but...
Why 21c?
Why fixed 280px answer area size? (increased it in console for the screenshot so you can see it all)
And who can first spot where it hmm... let it's imagination run wild and misleads us?

I don't like creating SR's, but when I do them it means I have a serious business and need competent engineer to handle the case. Unfortunately that's a rare thing and most of the time I need to put way too much effort to reach that stage...

Today I reanimated my good old Dell 2407WFP which went out with big pop and sparks last week. Fortunately lots of info on it on net - typical issue with leaking cap. New/used PSU board is cheap and quick option to fix it as too many elements are damaged when it happens to bother with replacement...

Sure, let me grab another requestState, where did I put it... Maybe in my other pants. 🤬
March 15, 2025 at 6:30 PM
2FA for logging into #MOS is so pathetic. Only email or sms. Email takes ages to arrive and looks like poorly written scam with bad phrasing and wrong boilerplates (corpexternalprod ?!?). Can't change to other option or at least it's not obvious how to do it. Oracle's UX at its best. 😡
March 15, 2025 at 6:20 PM
I'm amazed how quickly you can have running Oracle Database 23ai Free Container - it's a matter of seconds!
And how quickly I can find an issue in it - really, first thing that I've tried to do resulted in this... 🤣

not turn on or charge because of swollen LiPo battery. My complaint was of course refused twice with the same automatic reply from "ChocieService" (sic!), ignoring statutory rights for EU citizens like conformity guarantee they put themselves on their website.

So #Oracle #EM holistic patch is now available at a whooping size 8.6GB 😱
Download page states 2 prerequisite patches should be installed before installing HP, but they are actually included in HP. Readme however states patch 34761383 is required instead.
What a mess (as usuall)...
