Reader, runner, roleplayer, haver of opinions - mostly lefty.

Absolutely not a Culture SC agent. Definitely.
And Ken Macleod's Fall Revolution quartet, four books set at different points of the same future timeliness.

Oh, and in SF, Ian McDonald's Luna trilogy, where the moon has been colonised & is run by libertarian corporations, with everyone below having to earn credits to get air, water, and everything else

There is some superb African diaspora SF at the mo. Completely agree about Wormwood. Also Nnedi Okorafor (Who Fears Death, Binti, Lagoon), NK Jemisin (Broken Earth, The City We Became), P. Djeli Clark (Dead Djinn series, Ring Shout, The Black God's Drums) and more

One of the best timeloop novels I've ever read is Recursion by Blake Crouch, which is one wild ride!

A note for people jumping in to Studio Ghibli & @podchris.bsky.social; Grave of the Fireflies is NOT child friendly, it is one of the most upsetting films I've ever seen

I love The Locked Tomb & The Space Between Worlds. I'd also recommend A Memory Called Empire & Desolation Called Peace by Arkady Martine. #scifi #LoveStory #books
