Does the TBS play-by-play guy ever stop speaking for one solitary second?

I previously interpreted this as a “we want to control the clock and take as much time on the ball as possible” approach. (Arguably nonsensical when you almost always have a talent advantage.) This is… something else.

Looking back at the entire Hurts/Sirianni era, the #Eagles have always been slower than almost all other teams at snapping the ball, but through 5 games, this 2025 version is an extreme outlier from all of the other 159 team-seasons in this period.

My pet theory remains that certain beat writers dislike Jalen because of his approach to press conferences and media access generally.

Sirianni gets cut relative slack because he gives them plenty of material to write about.

The article makes more sense if you ask the question “how long has the author been waiting, desperately, to take a shot at Jalen Hurts?”

If you read this article and ask yourself questions like “what is the author’s actual thesis” and “what evidence does the author actually use to support his thesis,” you won’t find anything like satisfactory answers. www.inquirer.com/eagles/bronc...
Eagles muzzle Saquon Barkley and the run game, and it speaks volumes about Jalen Hurts
Barkley was held to a career-low nine touches in the Eagles' first loss of the season.

Fans who rationally post about what the team deserves or doesn't deserve are largely illegible to me.

I don't care about merit. I want my team to win and when it's stolen from them, I do not care about the context.

If you’re gonna call the game insanely tight, call it insanely tight.

You’ve gotta be kidding me.

Nantz and Romo seem to be watching on tape delay, or maybe they have a bet to see who can produce the fewest complete sentences.

Power run behind 3 WRs on 4th and 1, that's why Sean McVay is the greatest coach of all time.

I think the point is that, because teams now seem to be two first downs away from a scoring attempt in a way that they didn't used to be (due to kicker accuracy from 50+ and teams being willing to go for it around midfield), the same starting field position subjectively feels much different.

Totally afraid of the unlikely scenario where you leave enough time for Brandon Aubrey to win the game.

Brady gleefully rooting for the Bucs at this point, as you’d expect.

Remember, the only way a game can be lost is if you do a turnover on offense.

Chasing another scrambling quarterback down at a terrifying pace.

The Eagles are sort of the anti-Chiefs, in that there is no evidence that can convince some people that they are a dominant team.

Jordan Davis has been the best Eagles DL through 2.75 games.

Gotta get those Cameron Latu FB snaps. Just as important as AJ Brown targets.

You know he’s dying to run a 13-minute drive.

"the fewer chances you can give Jalen, AJ, and Devonta to make something happen, the better!"

or, if we want to get extra spicy on third and long, a give-up draw!

Patullo seems to have used every one of his good ideas on the first drive in game one. How many failed-run-to-swing-screen combos have we seen today?
