I got no ping, because it seems that you added the full HTML by hand (and it seems that we do not parse that).

To @-mention someone, you simply have to type `@[email protected]`, the rest (HTML auto-linking of the username) is done automatically bye the plugin.

@davew but Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are also part off the social web… at least these are the networks most people think about when they hear social web… Wikipedia does not even mention the fediverse https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_web
