We are heartbroken about the loss of legendary actor, director, and LGBTQ+ activist Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.

New data reports that LGBTQ+ people — especially trans & nonbinary people — have been forced to make significant changes to their daily lives, confirming the real-world harm that anti-equality politicians have on our community.

We will not be deterred. We will fight for our freedom to exist.
Since November 2024, 57% of LGBTQ, including 84% of trans and nonbinary people have made significant life decisions or taken steps in response to LGBTQ-related politics or laws, including: taken steps to be LESS visible, considered moving to a different state, found a different job, updated legal name or gender markers, crossed state lines to receive health care. HRC logo appears in top right corner. Since November 2024, 60% of LGBTQ people report that they or an immediate family member have had at least one negative experience related to being LGBTQ. We must continue to fight against cuts to treatment, prevention, and research.
