Three seasonal shelters will be open every night from November 24, 2025, to mid-March 2026. An additional shelter in Concrete, located at the East County Resource Center, operated by Community Action of Skagit County, will be activated temporarily during severe weather events.

Overnight shelter offered by Skagit County Public Health, in partnership with cities, Welcome Home Skagit, Family Promise of Skagit Valley, Friendship House-First Step Shelter, Community Action of Skagit County, Faith Community Fellowship Church, and Salem Lutheran Church.

Just to be 100% clear, Skagit Queer is hosting the event this year too. Above, I meant to write “Skagit Queer hosted this event last year as well.” PFLAG Skagit is cross-promoting it.

In this session, updated for 2025, we’ll review what advocates need to know to fight for their trans and nonbinary loved one. Then we’ll put what we’ve learned to work, navigating real-world scenarios.

People who are transgender and nonbinary (and their affirming families) are under attack – in legislatures, in the media, and in schools. There has never been a greater need to have educated and engaged allies fighting for equality.
