I had so many! The African Storyteller, Plants and Man (the co-evolution of plants and mankind), Taichi with sword. My degree was in music history.

Elite Dangerous is also worth considering; space combat is one of the gameplay loops. You can also be a space miner or space trucker, or even do exploration.
