I'm quick-witted in RL. I improvise quickly, but tend towards complex plots which bog me down.

Blended genre books are hard to get right, but they can overflow with originality. My lack of comps attests to that.

I don't make things easy for myself, and some experiments cost me years.

I've distilled it before. My 2nd edition pruned word count by 17% from the published 1st edition (1,329 this chapter)

1st edition half said fast-paced.
2nd edition 80% did.
The sci-fi layer in the 2nd edition raises the bar.
Going for higher and still trying to meet my original deadline.

There's like 6 showings in LA, 10/18 - 10/20. It's not in any of the theaters I like.

I own a copy, so I might just watch it on my 120" projector.

Yesterday, I went to a Mid Autumn Festival potluck and talent show. It's Mandarin immersion schools, like the program my daughter is in. The kids from Dragon Sprouts did a great job singing and showing off martial arts. We arrived late, so we missed some of it.

Only the 1st book 1st edition. I'm wading through feedback on the 2nd edition of book 1. I went way too far off the beaten path. I have all these plans, but executing is hard when I keep updating the first book.

I'll never top some of the reviews I got, but the new version is more marketable.

We'll call it sci-fi thrillers, but really cross genre.

The 1st edition has been called a super genre bender. The award it won was in the cross genre category, but was a finalist in thriller and cross genre competitions.

The series goes from mostly political thriller to space opera by book 5.
