When you say "double helping" on the New Year Treat. Do you mean that you have one regular episode, and then one "Champion of Champions" episode based on the previous New Year Treat winners?

Right. There is this 2D animated Swedish film called "Hundhotellet" (The Hound Hotel), from the year 2000.
It works a bit of a tribute to old mystery novels, and has an all canine cast.
The video in the link provides english subtitles.
