Unless there is a form of proportional representation or ranked voting, votes cast to third parties have the same effect as a blank ballot.

In my opinion, the public would benefit more from worrying about how votes are cast rather than who voted for whom.

Ah I see! I'm a socialist too, I believe it's the most ethical and utilitarian model we've constructed so far. I was referring to idea that 2 party systems are simply an inevitability of the First Past the Post voting system.
